2003 Gibsons Wilfreda Blend

Tasting Note:

The 2003 Wilfreda is a gorgeously complex southern Rhone-like red made from a blend of 52% Shiraz 36% Mourvedre and 12% Grenache (whose vineyards average 30 years of age). Its classic bouquet of pepper garrigue cassis cherries raspberries plums and earth could easily be mistaken for a high class Chateauneuf du Pape. Dense and full-bodied with superb fruit supple tannin and loads of soul as well as character it should be consumed over the next 5-7 years. Source: Wine Advocate
