Red wine – 2004 – Pierre Usseglio Chateauneuf-du-Pape – France – Region: Rhone
2004 Pierre Usseglio Chateauneuf-du-Pape
Tasting Note:
The 2004 Chateauneuf du Pape Tradition which is primarily Grenache (about 90%) and the rest small parts of Mourvedre and Cinsault displays sweet black cherry fruit with hints of the seaweed wrappers used in sushi bars pepper spice a nice round velvety palate with sweet fruit and roasted Provencal herbs. This wine has always reminded me of the 1999 which was a successful vintage for Usseglio. Drink it over the next 8-10 years. Source: Wine Advocate
