Tasting Note:
This limited production cuvee (produced only in the greatest vintages) is spectacular. The 1997 (100% Semillon) contains 20% residual sugar and a well-hidden 14.5% alcohol. The wine is mammoth in the mouth with layers of unctuously-textured honeyed tropical fruits beautifully integrated toasty new oak plenty of botrytis and considerable sweetness. It is a triumph in wine making and will undoubtedly last 50-100 years. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2050+. Source: Wine Advocate
