1999 Les Cailloux Chateauneuf-du-Pape Brunel
Tasting Note:
The famed Cuvee Centenaire (produced from 100+ year old vines) was included in the cuvee classique in 1999. Made in an evolved style for proprietor Andre Brunel the 1999 Chateauneuf du Pape exhibits a dark plum/ruby color as well as a sweet spicy nose of red and black fruits mixed with garrigue pepper spice box and tobacco. Rich full-bodied layered and undeniably captivating this sumptuous forward flavorful savory Chateauneuf can be drunk now and over the next 12-14 years. Source: Wine Advocate
